EMI Test – Aurora IPX vs Crestron NVX
While higher bandwidth networks are more susceptible to interference, gimmicks like wrapping network cables around motor based devices such as a coffee grinder does nothing more than entertain and confuse. A properly installed network infrastructure should neverbe located near any type of EMI or ESD interference, regardless whether the network is 1Gbps or 10Gbps. The NVX relies on forward error correction and retries to mitigate network interference – even those techniques will eventually fail based on the severity and longevity of the interference.
The fact is, if you have extreme EMI or ESD interference on your network – any network – you have the potential to impact any data or service running on that network. This is not only a matter of best practice installation methods, but also electrical standards.
