Founded in 2002 by Udo Borgman, Pan Acoustics is successful German manufacturer of innovative sound systems and digital audio solutions.
Pan Acoustics is first and foremost a technology company focussed on overcoming technical challenges in the fields of audio reproduction and acoustics. This has lead to a number of innovations in wireless audio transmission, amplifier technology, surround sound and digital signal processing.
The most famous innovation is no doubt PanBeam, the digital steerable loudspeaker array. This innovative product line ensures the consistency of volume throughout audience areas. This pleasant feature means that even though being situated near the sound source (in this case loudspeaker) a member of the audience will not experience the usual unpleasant effects of increased volume. Additionally members of the audience situated farther from the sound source are not affected by the usual loss of volume over greater distances. Even for the layman this pleasant effect is immediately noticeable.
Another excellent feature that PanBeam has to offer is the ability to direct a constant volume effectively and flexibly to a desired position within the space the audience is situated without having to rearrange, redirect or even relocate the loudspeakers. DSP electronic control technology is applied throughout the PanBeam system and is adjusted comfortably using either computer or network technology.
The Pan Con-USB-RS485 converter is required for the connection and the programming of all Pan Beam products. After connecting the Pan Con to the USB port of the computer, it becomes easy to control and monitor all Pan Beam speakers with the Pan Beam Setup Software. In addition the Pan Con is required to connect the audio signal of the inputs A and B to the speaker using the Pan Beam network. For this purpose, the Pan Con has two XLR type input connectors.
Error messages from the Pan Beam network can be sent via the alarm contacts.
The Pan Splitter 2/6 is a Pan Beam network hub with an integrated USB-RS485 converter. The Pan Splitter 2/6 can control six Pan Beam-Networks and feed them with two independent audio signals. Via the USB port on the Pan Splitter all connected speakers (up to 768) from the Pan Beam series can be setup and monitored by the Pan Beam Setup Software in real time.
Control (Preset select) by media contro e.g. Crestron, is possible via integrated RS port.
Network error messages from the Pan Beam Network may be issued via the alarm contact.
The Pan Splitter 4/4 is a Pan Beam network hub with an integrated USB-RS 485 converter. The Pan Splitter 4/4 can be operated 4 Pan Beam networks. Each network line can be supplied with one independent audio signal. Via the USB port on the Pan Splitter all connected speakers (up to 512) from the Pan Beam series can be controlled by the Pan Beam Setup software in real time.
Over the integrated RS 485 port it is possible to control (preset select) the network with a media control systems such as Crestron and AMX.
Network error messages from the Pan Beam network may be sent via the alarm contact.
