MIPRO

MIPRO was established in 1995 by founder K.C. Chang, who had in 1970 designed the first FM wireless microphone in Taiwan and obtained the first patent for a condenser microphone capsule in Taiwan.

The brand name “MIPRO” stands for “MI”crophone “PRO”fessionals. It is headquartered in Chiayi, Taiwan, with 200 employees and sales offices in China, Hong Kong, Germany, Korea and Austria. MIPRO designs and manufactures professional digital and analog wireless microphones, wireless portable PA systems, wireless in-ear monitoring, tour-guide and portable wireless ENG receivers and other wireless audio systems.

In 2001 MIPRO introduced a technology they termed ACT (Automatic Channel Targeting). “ACT” synchronizes the receiver and transmitter frequencies. This was followed in 2006 by MIPRO introducing the first encrypted digital wireless microphone system and later, digital wireless tour guide & language interpretation Systems. MIPRO has always been a solid engineering company focused on innovation and this has lead to numerous award nominations including the ACT-2400 2.4GHz digital wireless system being nominated for Outstanding Technical Achievement in Wireless Technology in the 2017 TEC Awards.

ACT-2400 Series

The ACT-2400 series includes single- and dual-channel half rack receiver systems, and dual- and quad-channel full rack receiver systems with various transmitter options, all of which utilise the 2.4 GHz ISM band and offer 4-frequency FSK (frequency shift key) modulation circuitry, as well as a Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology utilising four frequencies for each channel in an adaptive tracking algorithm that to avoid interference from 2.4 GHz products on channels 1, 6, and 11.

The systems employ dual-tuner true digital diversity reception and provide 12 compatible simultaneous channel operations at receiving distances up to 100 meters (330 ft.).

The transmitters use a rechargeable lithium battery that facilitates 1-hour of operation on a 25-minute quick charge or 10 hours of operation on a full 4-hour charge; with up to 600 charge cycles, and several transmitter options are offered.

The ACT-24HC handheld transmitter includes a condenser capsule with a multi-layered metal grille intended to protect the capsule against impact, rolling and pop noise. The ACT-24TC miniature body pack transmitter is housed in a compact, lightweight enclosure that can be concealed.  While MT-24 wireless digital guitar transmitter is also available and can also be used with portable music sources such as MP3 players.

For installed applications the ACT-2412A and ACT-2414A launched in June 2017 offer the perfect solution. All the benefits of the ACT-2400 series, but with the ability to us remote antennas (AT-24) allowing these dual- and quad-channel receivers to be installed in a remote equipment rack out of the way.

Features:

  • Stable digital FSK modulation circuitry. All frequencies are located in this band.
  • Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology, and each channel presets 4 hopping frequencies that skip the Wi-Fi frequency in use.
  • The adaptive tracking algorithm helps effectively avoid interference from 2.4GHz communication products.
  • With dual tuner true diversity, the receiving distance is up to 100 meters (330 ft.) with no signal drop-out.
  • East to read OLED screen.
