New Powersoft K2

This new amplifier is an extension of Powersoft's signature K-Light Series, which launched last year with the successful K3 model.

Featuring the same compact dimensions as the K3-a one-rack unit case, 360mm deep with a weight of 8 Kg-the K2 provides 1000W per channel with an 8-ohm speaker load, 1950W at 4-ohms and 2400W at 2-ohms in stereo configuration. Its bridge mode operation is 3900W at 8-ohms and 4800W at 4-ohms.

The design also features low power consumption with an incredible Power Factor efficiency of more than 0.90 from 500W to full power. This yields a 40 to 60% reduction in current draw over traditional power amplifiers without PFC, helping to lower the carbon footprint and delivering a sensible economic benefit for installations. These amplifiers pay for themselves over time through equivalent power savings.

Featuring a front panel smart card reader, the K2 provides firmware upgrade, preset load and save, which allows for step-up card processing for future upgrading to K3 power output achieving total flexibility.

The new ENTASYS™ three-way, full-range column line-array loudspeaker system delivers true line-array performance in a compact weather-resistant package. Designed for permanent installation applications including auditoria, airports and train stations, conference centers, houses of worship, stadium concourses and museums.

ENTASYS offers high output and high power handling capability that outperforms comparable systems, boasting multiple low frequency, midrange and high frequency drivers for the most consistent coverage available, delivering a uniform, constant vertical beamwidth from 800 Hz to 16 kHz.

Each ENTASYS full-range column includes six low frequency neodymium drivers, eighteen 2.35-inch midrange drivers and six 7-inch long x 1-inch wide planar-coupled patent-pending Compact Ribbon Emulator (CRE) high frequency elements.

ENTASYS is designed to be modular, allowing the installer to use multiple ENTASYS full-range columns and low frequency extension columns to create extremely narrow focused vertical coverage previously only possible using powered, steered arrays. Web Streaming and Archiving from DIS

The DIS SW 7001 package is the first webcasting, streaming and archiving software available from a manufacturer of conference electronics.

With the latest requirements for e-democracy and e-government, webcasting of council meetings is becoming commonplace. This is one way of using technology to effectively engage citizens and ensure transparency, accountability and accessibility.

Applications are not just limited to local government, councils or public sector organisations; any company wishing to engage with its shareholders or stakeholders can use the DIS 7001 webcasting package to broadcast meetings and conferences on the internet.

The DIS 7001 package integrates with the DIS microphone discussion system to allow meetings to be viewed as a webcast or be archived for access on the internet at a later date on-demand.
