The Cloud series consists of the Cloud 4, Cloud 6, Cloud 12, and Cloud 12-SUB all providing a range of ceiling loudspeakers for high quality speech and music installations. Long-term reliability, sound quality and ease of installation were the core considerations in the design of all the models.

To provide optimum performance and consistent coverage with minimal diameter the Cloud 4 and 6 use a coaxial drive unit design and bass-reflex loading. 4 and 6-inch cast aluminium frame mid/bass units         respectively are coupled to a ¾-inch aluminium HF unit via a high-grade crossover. Both units employ Community’s proprietary Air Gap Technology (AGT) cooling for increased long-term high output and        reduced power compression. The Cloud 4 has a nominal dispersion of 140 degrees conical and the integral 30W 70/100V line transformer offers 4-tappings and a bypass setting for low impedance (16 Ohm)          applications. For the Cloud 6 the dispersion is 120 degrees and the transformer increased to 60W, again offering 4-tappings and a bypass setting for low impedance (16 Ohm). The transformers in both models have been designed for high-end audio use with minimal loss, giving the Cloud 4 a frequency response of 80Hz to 20kHz (+/- 6dB) and the Cloud 6 an extended 60Hz to 20kHz (+/- 6dB).

Unlike typical plastic and metal ceiling loudspeakers designs, Community has opted for a more robust all-metal construction, including back-can, mounting dogs, bezel and grille. Wiring terminations are enclosed in a  separate rear compartment with cover plate and provide a smart connect plug and cable restraint.

Installation when flush mounting is simple and the entire installation can be performed from below the ceiling.  Using the split-ring provided, the loudspeakers are simply pushed up into the mounting hole and secured with four machine screws located under the grille, which clamp down the dogs.  When flush mounting isn't an option, each loudspeaker also has four hanging points for flying, in which event the white powder-coated back-can aesthetically matches the bezel and grille. The Cloud 4 and Cloud 6 are supplied in pairs, complete with 2 x input plates, 2 x plug-in termination connectors, 4 x T-bars, 2 x split-ring supports and 2x paint protectors. 

The larger Cloud 12 is available in 60° x 60° and 90° x 90° dispersion models and ideal for applications with high ceiling or requiring high SPL’s from a ceiling mounted solution. Additional accessories for the Cloud 12 are Community’s high density back box for improved LF performance, grille, and tile bridges. For applications requiring greater LF output the Cloud 12 can be combined with the Cloud 12 SUB, which shares all of the same accessories. Both the Cloud 12 and Cloud 12 SUB models are available in a “T” version with integral 100V line transformers.
