DIS CDS 4000 is a versatile conference discussion system. Whether you are planning a small discussion group or a conference with hundreds of delegates DIS offers a system that will enhance your meeting. The CDS 4000 system is microprocessor based and features a single cable topology suitable for a broad variety of applications. 50 years of experience has been put into the system to ensure top performance combining superior sound quality, a strong mechanical construction and an elegant state of the art styling.
Easy set-up
The user friendly system concept ensures easy set-up and operation. Service staff, e.g. in conference and convention centres, having no particular technical skills will be able to set up the CDS 4000 spending just a minimum of time.
Portable or flush mount
The CDS 4000 components are engineered into a compact, elegant and yet neutral styling ensuring a pleasant appearance when in use. All microphone units are available as portable or flush mount. Moreover the CDS 4000 can be extended with a wide range of accessories to meet specific user requirements. The 4400 series portable microphone units feature built-in loudspeaker in hi-fi quality and concealed cable connections. Two versions are available. 4410 P with fixed flexible gooseneck and 4420 P with XLR connector for detachable gooseneck in various lengths or hand microphones. Both versions can be supplied as “chairman” or “delegate”.
Basic CDS 4000 system
A basic system for conferences, boardrooms, government offices, committee rooms, press centres, courtrooms, etc. Based on a central unit - CU 4005, the system drives up to 50 microphone units in one chain. Ten of these may be chairman versions. Simply connect the units one after the other and the system is ready for the meeting. Alternatively the CU 4010 drives up to 100 units in two chains. The simple “daisy-chain” cable configuration makes set-up simple, easy and fast. Automatic operation with “push to speak/request” button (on/off) and furthermore “delegate off” and priority access to speak for chairman units ensures trouble free meeting sessions. Built-in loudspeakers in hi-fi quality provide surpassed speech intelligibility.
Enhanced options
The CU 4005/10 includes in addition to facilities for speaking and listening a complete range of microphone control possibilities, which brings structure and order to meetings. An LCD display provides information about the basic automatic operating modes “AUT” or “FIFO”. 1 to 6 delegates may be set for simultaneous activation. “FIFO” includes a “request to speak” waiting list with automatic activation. On the display you can see volume settings and system status - and easily do an automatic performance test. Also the CU 4005/10 includes connectors for linking to external equipment such as interpretation systems, tape recorders or PA systems.
