Progressive Rock Legend Steve Hackett Tours With Capital Sound And Outline’s GTO C-12

Musician, songwriter, singer, producer and one of progressive rock’s most distinctive guitar stylists, the UK leg of Steve Hackett’s recent ‘Genesis Revisited With Classic Hackett 2017 Tour’ recently culminated in a sold-out show at London’s Palladium.

Mixed at FOH by Ben Fenner who has worked with Steve Hackett (both live and in the studio) since 1992 and ably supported by System Technician Toby Donovan, the tour utilised part of Capital Sound’s inventory of Outline GTO C-12 line-array modules plus GTO-SUB low-frequency elements and LIPF-082 stage-lip fills, all driven by Powersoft X8 amplifiers.

Outline And Status Quo – GTO C-12 On Tour With ‘Last Night Of The Electrics’

In early 2016 the band announced their final electric tour, the appropriately-named ‘Last Night Of The Electrics’, for which London-based Capital Sound deployed their Outline GTO C-12 rig. Long-standing FOH engineer Andy May agreed to use the system following a recommendation from Dave Roden (who used it for The Stereophonics during the summer) and has subsequently taken to it:

Bespoke Conference Setup at Fingal County Council

Fingal County Council is the authority responsible for local government in the county of Fingal, Ireland. Fingal covers over 452 km² and with a population of over 274,000 is the 2nd most populous county in its state.

The council had increased councillor numbers from 24 to 40 elected members, which required an increase in the capacity of their council chamber’s conferencing and AV needs. The Council Chamber was in need of a new moderated discussion system with electronic voting and state of the art Audio Visual facilities. As a result, a decision was made to replace the Council’s current system.
